While my wife (to be) and our 3 kids, one only a few days old, stayed home in the 115 degree weather, I was sporting a long sleeve in San Diego at Touch Of Class! It was beautiful!
Director and owner, Linda Bush, and I go way back to my early teaching years so this trip was special. Being 2 years from the last time I was there, I didn’t know what to expect with the talent or overall feel of the photoshoot.
They did not disappoint!
Over 75 kids and 3 days of shooting – IT WAS CRAZY! The competitive kids were on point, and the Rec. kids, as I call them, were cute as buttons. One of the highlights was the fact I was photographing a tap studio. Touch Of Class is very well rounded in all styles but packs a big punch in the tap department. If you watched SYTYCD with the kiddos you would remember the tap star on that show, Emma Hellenkamp. She is in one of their top companies and also competes with them on a regular basis. The dancers, older down to the itty bittys, had the look and pose of a tap dancer!
I cannot wait for the families to get all of their photos… They are going to love them!
And I could never had gotten through it all without my big help from Kiley McGrill! She is the true meaning of ROCKSTAR!
Below are some photos that we absolutely loved!
